That is *so* cool! Now I'm wondering if this is the same guy, a little more grown up, considering that he's living in the same spot, and has the "partial" blue crown typical of some Townsends. Have you ever seen another angel with that "horn" feature??

I'm still blown away by what I saw there. Fascinating how it exists out there in shallow water, right in the channel. Kind of sorry that I'll never get to see it again. . .

That it looked older than this one from the mystery reef?

Notice it has the same curvature as the one you posted? Oh, and based on the second stripe being straight instead of curved, it would be a Blue or a Townsend Angelfish, but not a Queen

Tattler Bass (Serranus phoebe) at da bridge on Friday

Humann and Fishbase say this guy shouldn't have been hanging out in ten or twelve feet of water. Didn't seem to be all that "shy", either. :D

Puff

Was kindly schooled recently on "Puff". Have I overdone the "post-processing"?

(Never mind - after "previewing" the post, the pics are such low rez that it doesn't matter) :D

Really beautiful dive today with the Video Dude. I wasn't sure at first as it was very "currenty" and not so great viz. Octopi still abound. Pink was home. Spotted eagle ray and the piece de resistance: a stargazer.

I was comfy in my 3mm even after two hours. All is right in the land of jet. :D

Here are a few pics from today.

First all we saw was this:

Then he took off and I couldn't catch up. All I could shoot was this:

I can't resist; such glamour girls:

From Sunday:
Water Temps: 80-83 F
Clarity: 20-30'
A lot less divers than were there on Saturday. I did have one crowd that was down-right rude. When I saw them roto-tilling the sand, I moved to a different area and they followed me to the new location silting out the conditions there too. One of their group pointed to something in the sand and in her attempt to move away and let others see it, she immediately hit it with her fin and continued to silt out until no one could possibly see what she pointed to.

I did get some pictures:

Someone was asking about the Seaweed Blenny in the bike handlebars?

Some of the other nudi's I ran into:
I can find them, I just can't name them. This one is a single segment of feelers and then the tail
