Love2....I can guarantee you'll have no trouble getting help from the men in this bunch! I have back trouble off and on so I know how you feel about asking for help. Last October at our first TSDT meeting, I had all kinds of offers for help getting my gear up and down the stairs.

So don't let that minor detail keep you from joining us. I'm just glad you got the OK from your Dr. to dive!

We'll see ya there!

Details left unsaid, but lets say, I couldnt lift or cough. Talk about hard to ask for help. They kept tryin to make me laugh!!!

I was in the pool (walking on the bottom) in a week and diving at the lake in 2 weeks, but I couldnt lift anything.

A little payback wouldnt bother me a bit!

:jump:

Well, looks like I will be making this trip. I will be bring along my non-diving family, so will have to split the time. However, I'm sure we will have great time from the sound of things. Do I need a permit or something to park an RV?

No, I don't think you need anything special except to say you're with our group at campsite #2 and then pay the correct entrance fee at the gate.

Budget time

Ok I will be arriving (fingers crossed) from Arizona with Scuba Gear and sleeping bag...

a) can drive $110 gas
b) take Greyhound $138 rt
1) who'll meet me at the station??

First off, I would be happy to pick you up Fishkiller. Let me know when you will arrive.
Air fills run anywhere from 3.50 to 5.00 for air; around 8 - 10 for nitrox. I may have a tent you can borrow. I will have to dig for it though.

I havent talked to anyone yet, but I should have enough fish in the freezer to a have a good sized fish fry, so you should have one meal covered for sure.

DofA has answered all your questions but I can add that we don't mind the cooking if you'll just throw some groceries in the pot. You can stop at the store around the corner and pick you up a steak for turf and spud night, maybe some chips and/or snacks for lunches, etc.

Looking forward to meeting ya!

We meet on Friday and dive
Saturday dive and play around
Sunday dive and play around
Monday dive and go home

that would be
Dinner Friday Saturday and Sunday
Breakfast Saturday Sunday and Monday
Lunch Saturday Sunday and Monday

Tank refills
I have my own tank(s)
How long and how far for refills?

With a fill a day that would be 2 dives per day unless the fill station is nearby, and is diving at night a thing to do?

is there a boat fee?

Tanks can be refilled at Dive World off of 620, and I know ALL the good places to eat in town

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still planning on being there and will be bringing the pontoon boat. I can take out about 8-10 divers at a time an I don't mind doing so all day so that everyone can do a boat dive if they want to. However I do not know all the good places to do the dives from the boat, so if someone could do a little research on that for us and maybe get a lake map or GPS numbers it would probably help. I won't charge anyone to go out and dive from my boat, but I will need some help handling the boat and helping divers in and out. Can't wait to meet everybody.
