Lee Im down their quiet a bit in the summer. Its close and convenient and I love the heck out of Tenkiller!

Several years ago a dive park was dedicated near the south end of Lake Tenkiller. The park is for divers only and is buoyed off so boats can’t roam overhead while people are underwater. The park itself is just a space but the things places in it are different. The first addition to the park were two old boats and a Kansas school bus. A few years later a small commuter airplane from the Caribbean was added and then just over a year ago a Coast Guard helicopter joined the party. All the additions were added by Nautical Adventures, a dive shop in Cookson after being thoroughly cleaned and prepared for divers. All doors were cut off, wiring removed and liquids purged to make the sites safe.

A few miles up the lake is the old town of Cookson. The town was left empty and flooded when Tenkiller was filled in 1952. You can still swim around some of the old buildings as well as above the headstones in the old cemetary. Divers have found plates, pottery, and farm instruments there as well.

Nautical adventures has been astronomical with the planning and placement of most all of the attractions in the park. Tim has been working hard through the years of the park to help maintain and clean the park so if you do ever get down that way stop in and show him some support. He will appreciate it

I ran a line to all the attractions in the Scuba Park last October for the second time in two years. You said in your report that there was a line to the boats. Is the line still intact going to the bus, plane, helicoptor and the SS Oklahoma Aquanaut boat? This Spring the Oklahoma Aquanauts are going to be working with the Park Service to reset the buoy line around the scuba park. Nautical Adventures is a great dive shop in the area and even gives us free air fills when we are working or cleaning up the scuba park. They even have an annual lake cleanup that they sponsor.

It seems to be all their. I hit the water to the left of the boat launch and did a zig zag between 25 and 30 ft looking for the lines, I found the one going to the two boats and the sign went toward the dam and found that line from the boats tied to a stump. from their went down to around 60ft found nothing and back to 30 picked up the next tag line under some rocks to the plane and bus but I was shy of it due to my dive flag sinking on me so I did not get to the helo or bus but it looks like the line is still in place as its off of the lake floor about 4 or 5 ft.
the viz was really poor but I'm hopeing for better by the end of the month and I'll have a new flag float!

Like I said the video is not the best but I'm working on it Their is a lot more to it I just posted the "good" bits The first part shows the two boats an my ugly mug.
So IF its not colder than bludy blue blazzes are you guys up for a dive at the end of the month?
and I would not mind talking with Tim at the dive shop their I passed by it coming and going!
