Nobody here is saying that scuba sciences' instructors don't teach a safe & fun class, quite the opposite in fact, not one post on this thread said their class was not fun or safe, they are just arguing that there are other safe and fun classes in the valley, a point which scuba sciences implies is untrue, some employees go out of their way to claim that they are the only safe option in town (even their website says they are the "SAFEST* course in Arizona") and the only shop that will truly make you a "diver", the lakes are unsafe, etc. the holier-than-thou attitude that is perpetuated by them, poor customer relations (by some) and restrictive policies over the years have pissed people off period, and I'm suprised it took so long for this thread to begin. You say, "Be Fair When Making Judement", I say practice what you preach. Did you even read this thread, because it's not about Income. What about Safety, Comfort and Fun, are you too insinuating that no other shop or independant instructors provides these either? Have you taken a class at another shop in town? Have you even been to another shop in town? Some would argue, including me, that people with less than a year of experience and less than 50 dives have no business being a DM/Divecon candidate, that it's UNSAFE. See we can all make an argument as to the safety of any other shop in town, that is not the point of this discussion.
If your happy with them, GREAT, we're, or at least I'm happy for you, after all it's all about diving, but don't come on here and tell people they are wrong or lost focus for sharing their experiences or voicing their opinions based upon their own personal accounts with scuba sciences. Perhaps you had none of the same issues, consider yourself fortunate, but it's not a figment of the imagination.
I'm happy for all the new scuba sciences board members we have, the scuba pig bat signal has obviously been answered, the more the merrier but I just wish there was a valid rebuttal within all the babble.
