Well why not....

Am at 245#, which is 10# less than a month ago with almost no effort. Want to be where I was when I graduated from the Infantry school back in '97, 190#. Still a bit heavy, but it came in handy, few people could hump longer or with more weight than I did.

Now with gas prices sky high (and my truck being broke) I bike to work everyday (weather permitting). Throw in the fact that starting tomorrow I'm stopping off at the gym for a bit to swim or lift weights and we'll see where I am in the two month range (would've this morning but the darn time change bit me in the six).

I ballooned up to this weight after my divorce and am tired of feelings sorry for myself. That and my 4 year old informed me I was fat this past week. Got to love the honesty of the innocent. So 10-15 miles a day on the bike back and forth to work and the gym, let's see what happens.

I'm in.

Count me in too. I'm tired of being tired.
I have been reading the Dr. Phil book and that makes the most sense to me. Eat but watch the portion size and what type of food is going into my mouth and intentional exercise.

OK you guys are IN!
We have 23rd that have joined so far!

This thread will stay open today and tomorrow for more people to join. Then it will be closed on Wednesday and reopened for more to join on Thursday.
So, after today, only Tuesday and Thursday will be join days.

I will also give it a try, not sure about weight loss, but if i can loose some inches off my waist that would be good. I seem to have lost 10# in the last month or so, looking for some more! Will be looking for the new thread.

This sounds like fun!

I'm usually not too bad with the excercising but food is my downfall. I eat everything! I would like to get tips from those that know what works

I'll weigh in tommorrow too

Natasha, pls add me to "the list"....

Over on eDiets they have a similar motivational thread called "The Corps", its a guy thing ya know... For every 10% towards your goal, you go up in rank. Dunno if the group is up for tracking that level of details.

Natasha:
Mike and Tom you're both addded!
Welcome.
New thread in 60 minutes laying out our plan!

(Divers it's not too late to join today)
Add me to the list, it seems that the blubber I have attained will make it tougher to fit into my wetsuit and blubber in and of itself will not keep me warm diving in the Great Lakes this year. Stepped on scale at work, holy cow, I mean holy smokes 280lbs.

OK you're added.
I did come up with three different ideas as far as incentives go.

We could have titles that's not hard. Not sure if "Big loser" sounds good though..lol

I also thought we could donate money to Juvenile Diabetes in the name of scuba board for every pound we lose.

And I thought of giving ourselves 20..single dollar bills to start with..and either adding or taking away a dollar for every pound..and in the end buy a scuba present for ourselves.

Then after thinking of all that.. I thought maybe we could just let all be free..and not need anything other then, each other, for an incentive.
