Natasha:
OK Cindy! I've added you.
MY WI at WW is also Thursday.
I think tomorrow will be our commitment day. We'll start a new thread.. adding more people, and tips. Everyone will be sure to be ready to weigh in on either Tuesday or Thursday, and report back every week on those days.

We'll be here for constant support, and for little things like what did you eat today? It helps to write (type) it down.

My commitment was twelve weeks ago this Thursday when I started WW. Started at 286, and was at 255 on Thursday. Thats 10% (+) and 30lbs. The reason why I like this diet is because I can eat anything that I want. Its a joke between my wife and I. Tonight I had two special K wafles with wipped cream and a slim fast fudge pop shoved between them (4 Points). My wife said " I can't beleive that you are losing weight with all of that crap that you are eating".

To me, it's not so much of a diet as it is a game.

Anyone got any good recipeis to share?

Count me in ;)

-Joe

PS. whatever changes you are making, make sure you drink at least 6-8 8oz glasses of water a day. I know it is difficult to keep track. I bought a 1Liter Lexan Sports bottle that goes with me everywhere. Works for me.

Congrats! Good tips, you're in! Look for the new thread tomorrow.

Count me in......oh wait, did you say fatness or fitness? Whatever, I'll play.

....but I'm in too!

A weekend of excess started with Oak Stout and pizza at the brewery, and then a bunch of other stuff that I shouldn't have been eating. Wife brought home some french bread from her trip to Kalamazoo, which I ate MOST of. Well the final weight on the scale this morning was 277!!!!! :11: :11: So it's back to the TOPS diet plan, write down everything you eat, eat what is only on the plan. WATER, WATER, WATER, WATER, WATER and try to get to the gym four days a week at least.

So, plan on me joining you folks and trying to take off some of this BLUBBER (I hate it when I get this heavy...)

Count me in!

In the Parade Section of yesterdays paper the question was asked, "whats the difference between dieting and dieting with exercise, a five pound loss is a five pound loss, right?"

the answers was, " When you just diet you lose muscle and fat, when you add the exercise you build muscle and lose fat, muscle is good, fat is bad."

I paraphrased somewhat but that was the gist.

Exercise can be as simple as a nice walk with Fido or the SO.
