Special BCD for larger/heavier tanks?

I have to agree. If you are going tech later on, go with the BP/W.

One option that you might also think about is this. Buy the Brigade or Ranger. Later on if you want to go tech and use a BP/W then you can take the Zeagle blader off and put it on their BP. Personally, if I knew for sure that I was going tech I would at least rent the BP/W and go from there.

You may find the lift specs, sizes, and adjustability on SeaQuest's Pro QD+ and the Black Diamond are in the range you are looking for if a vest type is what you are still interested in. I ended up with the Pro QD+ but it was a tough call. I could have gone for the Zeagle Ranger or Concept II. The SeaQuest BCD has worked out well so far.
