on Saturday Pascal Lacocq (the painter of blue) is gonna be at Divers Direct. A bunch of us met him at Oceanfest last spring. He is a hoot!

hahahahahahahahahahaha! I remember that and I kept asking (after a margarita) who the heck he was on the Board, took me most of the day for ya'll to explain to me who he was.... Of course it was Our first time ever meeting any SB'ers and we were MORE than a little green...

He's a heck of a nice guy with some pretty wonderful paintings. Didn't Grier talk him into snorkeling with us ... I'll have to dig up those photo of all of us..found them here

If we get down there in time, I'd love to go check out his stuff. I saw some of the new items from an email, their looking spify!! How long will he be there Jenny?

For those thinking of shore diving any time this weekend, the NOAA forecast (even though its still a way ahead of time) is suggesting that there will be surf through the week, so the viz might be kind of shot. Debating on boat diving myself any other time of the weekend!

I'm keeping an eye on the weather too. NOAA is only up to Saturday right now but there is talk about another cold front moving in for Sunday! If we do any additional boat dives I'm going to keep them kinda last minute pending conditions.

Will be a bummer if it gets too cold. I have my patio all decorated up pretty like for the party - I'll have to close the hurricane shutters to keep the heat in if it gets too cold! But it does get one in the holiday spirit!

I am still unsure whether I am going to make the meet and greet, but I would like to get some diving in this weekend. I am doing Tenneco Towers Saturday afternoon and I am interested in a Friday night dive or two.

I may have missed a post talking about these plans and if so I apologize. Otherwise, is there anything like this happening?

Greetings All!

After reading about the successful meet & greet held by the Central Florida SBers, it seems like a great idea to have one here in the South Florida area (as Jenny suggested).
She and I have exchanged some PMs and I would like to offer my Hollywood home for this event.

So let's get this idea rolling....
Anyone interested let me know and if it looks like we have some interest than we can start putting together details. I'm suggesting a Sunday afternoon so we don't conflict with all those other holiday parties on Friday and Saturdays. It will be a "pot luck" so start thinking about what you would like to bring.

Looking forward to meeting / re-meeting everyone!
