I am reading about rebreathers one concern is the scrubber price. Are you know about sodalime manufactured at USA suitable for rebreathers? What about sodalime from puritanmedicalproducts

Rafael Rodriguez:
Are you know about sodalime manufactured at USA suitable for rebreathers?
Rafael, W.R. Grace & Co. in the U.S. manufatcures Sodasorb CO2 absorbant.
It is sold exclusively through Steam Machines Inc. in California.

You can find Sodasorb distributors at

Material Safety Data Sheet for Sodasorb

The other two main players in dive absorbant are Dräger (DiveSorb) from Germany and Molecular Products (Sofnolime) from the U.K..

All three of those products are specifically designed for use in rebreathers.
For CE certification an absorbant is specified, Dräger uses their own, Sofnolime is used by Ambient Pressure Diving.

Here in the U.S. Sodasorb is quite popular, a lower price being one reason.

Thank a lot for your help.
