So Who Were You Trained Through???

Solo Diver cert. via SDI in Hopkinsville, KY (Pennyroyal Blue Spring Resort Quarry). I'd call this my highest cert. level. PADI offers 'Self-reliant Diver,' but I wanted it crystal clear mine said and meant 'Solo Diver.'

Seems like a good call. I learned just yesterday that the shop that runs my local quarry will allow solo diving on an SDI cert, but not on a PADI Self-Reliant cert. The shop does offer both SDI and PADI training. I didn't ask why they allow one but not the other at the quarry. I have SDI Solo, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Ok so here are the results you guys have given me. I did not include any of my certifications or any of my students that I have certified over the years, simply because I already know what thier answers would have been. All data was collected from responses here on ScubaBoard, our Facebook page, and our YouTube Channel. This shows the total number of certifications based off of 5 categories. Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Specialty (including technical levels, both diving and non diving such as Gas Blender), Rescue, and Professional Levels (including Divemaster thru Instructor). The percentages are rounded up to the nearest decimal point. Also included is a color code showing the agency with the highest percentage. I know this is just a small portion based off who responded, and this is in no way an accurate survey of all divers, but just off the ones that responded, but I am shocked that NAUI leads in the professional level, and that SSI is higher in the Open Water Level. PADI of course takes the win in Advanced Open Water, Specialty, Rescue. Thank You again to all who participated and responded.

Thank you for tallying up all of the data you received & coming back to the thread to note it! I know it's not scientific, but it is very interesting & really surprised me as well.

Well, yes hence my "not scientific", but I personally found it very interesting & thought it was kind of the OP to tally up the data when it was requested that he do so.

Highest cert is PADI MSDT. I also hold a Timix cert and a number of other specialties but I consider the technical training to be more specialties than qualifications beyond the extended range course.
