Who is arguing? I agree, your cards are there. But your DOB is wrong, so you say. I really don't care if you fix it with PADI or not, but it seems to disturb you so why not get it fixed?

You are. I think my English is sufficiently clear as it is my first language. I think the whole situation is funny. Hence the laughing emoji I used originally.

I'm pretty sure I know my DOB. Maybe I need my mother to create an account here and she can tell you the date and time I was born. I have no recollection of being born, but 23 is the date on all my documents: two passports, driver's licenses from multiple states I've lived, international driver's licenses, all school transcripts from middle school through grad school.

How does that work? Do you have to wait until you are done with all certifications before you get a card? If they send you a card every time you add a certification, how does that help?

BTW, my stack of C-cards is two inches high, and they come from 5 different agencies.

You only have one to carry and that covers everything from that agency - the old ones you can toss or save as drink coasters. In your case, you'd still have to carry 5 if you wanted to have/use/exercise all of them.

So who really cares! As long as you're destinations are cool with your certs and you can dive the dive's you want to.....then there is really no issue. I stand by my signature....... Qualified trumps Certified every day of the week!

Printing needs to be outsourced to China to be less expensive, but then you'll wait longer for the mail. And if China invades itself, I mean, Taiwan, your card may be lost!

I only want to have one and be done.

Everything in one place on one card. I get a new card and recycle the old one with all the beer cans and plastic milk jugs. Well, keep the last one before the Waning Gibbous Lunar Cycle Bonaire Box Jelly Spawning Observer Specialist certification so if I lose the new one, I still have easily producible credentials without paying another $65...

To your question, somebody already figured that one out. Use these things called "abbreviations".

Examples might include:

OW, EAN40, AOW, DP (40M?), EQ, NAV, NT, SR, WRK, RES, MSD, SOLO, 3MIX, DM, AIN, IN, CD ...

That's like 17 on one line. Could even list each cert number as it has the issue date (sorta) embedded as the first 4 digits (19080R06378?)

OR if somebody wants to keep up with the silly practice of having different numbers for each cert, incorporate each cert in the number ....

1908XXXOW06378, 2012EAN4002298, 2106XXAOW05991 ... or just issue a single diver number and use abbreviations.

But if you like carrying 30+ cards, GREAT. Good for you. Stack 'em high. Knock yourself out. Or as my mom was fond of saying, "Pin a banner on your butt."

So.......Does anyone still use www.scubaearth.com ? When I log onto that site it takes me right to a profile that shows all my PADI certs. Here's a snip of the site that I just took.

Also, I have the PADI app on my phone and it populates my e-certs with no problems. (2nd pic below is a screenshot from my phone).

PS.... As far as I know, I am no longer a PADI member unless it's free....but everything still works.
