Mine arrived last week, so posting the obligatory “I put it on and took a photo in front of a mirror” photo.

Fit is spot on, with the one exception of the neoprene socks, which probably could have been a size down. But then, I wasn’t wearing my wool socks when I test fit, so maybe it’ll be fine. It’s certainly not off enough to be a bother.

Ordered 4/1/24
Original dispatch date 6/21/24
Actual dispatch 7/8/24

They also refunded for the Rolock 90s and the 2 pair of Showa gloves I ordered. I got the 150 undergarments as well as 2 sets of wrist seals and neck seals for spares.

Total invoice for shipped items was £1,287.26, and paid $122.62 in duties to UPS.

Curious what your user/friend errors were with the plastic?
What should have been rather obvious handling errors for an experienced diver. ie: not ensuring zipper was clear of undergarment material, not ensuring zipper car was freely moving prior to pulling on it, grasping the zipper tether and reefing back on it with full force, etc. Plastic zippers work great if you ALWAYS take care to never force the zipper car and always be certain there is no other material stuck in the tracks. As we found, if the plastic zipper is yanked with the same force as an unlubed brass zipper, you're likely exceeding the limits.

With the replacement zipper and alterations providing quite a bit more room, I can now don/doff it myself fairly easily. The upper torso now has a touch more room than I would hope, but conversely, a too-tight suit can be unusable especially when loading up the thicker undergarments.

ordered my suit 2 days ago how long does it take for them to get back to you with the confirmation and shipping date

You might see an email in the morning (72 hours) or Monday AM. They're 8 hours ahead of me (PST) so their office is just closing down when I get to my office in the morning.

thanx now comes thee long hard wait
I placed my order on the 25th of April, order confirmed on the 30th of April with expected dispatch date of 19th of July.
As of today, the order hasn't been dispatched. In conversations with Lisa from Seaskin I was told that due to holidays dispatch date could be delayed a week. Since I'm travelling in the upcoming days I asked to be dispatched only on the 10th of August if they are unable to send it until the 25th of July.

Hi Folks, first post on Scubaboard here.

Looking to get your thoughts on a 1 year old Santi E.lite+ vs a MTM seaskin. UK based.

I'm currently diving a leaky otter that has too short arms, so a new drysuit is needed.

I was originally planning to get a seaskin, but I have recently taken fundies in a Santi E.lite+ and found that a stock size fitted me well (ML), and I could reach my valves. I felt very comfortable in the water.

A santi dealer near me has some 1 year old ex-demo E.lite+ suits become available, that are very close to what I'd be spec-ing out a seaskin to be (i.e. plastic zip, big side velcro pockets, si-tech valves, si-tech neck ring, turbosoles, telescopic torso). Some differences would be santi glove/wrist seals vs QCS, no pee valve, different colour scheme (black & orange vs all black), and a standard right handed zip vs getting a left handed one on the seaskin.

The zip has just been replaced on the Santi.

The suits are essentially the same price, with the santi perhaps being £100 or so cheaper.

So with that in mind, which would you personally go for? The new MTM seaskin, or the 1 year old Santi that fits very close to ideal anyway?

Thank you!

Is getting the suit exactly the way you want worth the £100 to you? Santi makes a great suit. Myself and everyone I personally know with one area happy with it. Seeing how you're in the UK is it feasible to go get measured by them and discuss it in person? Personally, I'd spend the extra to get something the way I want since it is a negligible difference.

look at the guarantee, and the opportunity to use the guarantee.... everything flows... everything changes :-)
SANTI gives 12 months warranty for undersuits and accessories, 2 years warranty for airtight plastic zipper used in drysuits and 3 years warranty for dry suits. By joining Stay Dry Club you may extend the warranty for drysuits with additional 2 years.
