Trying to find a used suit that is at least divable to ease the pain. Otherwise, I have to (god forbid) dive wet till it shows up.
I'm skipping my normal dive today because I don't want to be cold. It's so much harder to justify diving wet in 48° water knowing my dry suit is 2 weeks away. I'm not sure the wet suit will get wet before then.

I'm using this time to snowboard. Let's see if I can match the cost of the drysuit in lift and train tickets over the next few months 😬

Lift tickets here are $180 for a Sat or Sun. That resort is East 1 hour away. Further south there is one for $80 full mountain or $30 1 lift (I take my kids and it's a pretty decent run). That resort is 2.5 hours away. I miss the days of $40 full mountain pass at my local mountain.

We used to ski Steven's when I was in high school (Bainbridge Island). I don't remember how much it was back then for sure. I want to say it was something like $20.

Snoqualmie (1.5 hour north) was $20 when I was riding every weekend. Crystal (my home mountain and 1 hour east) was $45. They are now $150 & $180 respectively and not worth that much. White Pass (2.5 hours south) is the best option and still a decent mountain at $80. All 3 require reservations now so they aren't as packed with idiots but they made up in last revenue by charging out the wazoo. I'm not a teenager anymore so I'm pretty well sore and tired after a day of ready riding. No more park or back country for me.

Those prices are pants on head retarded. Around here lift tickets are between 60 and 80 Swiss francs (or Euro. Same difference)

It's what happens when a big corporation buys all the local resorts and upgrades every ******* thing. Nearly every lift is a high speed quad vs the old 2 and 3 person chairs. They make money hand over fist and people gobble up tickets at that price. I don't get it.

I used to live 1/2 mile from Mount Sunapee in NH back in the late 90's. Lift tickets were $25/day on weekends and $15/day on weekdays. Season pass was $500. You could blow $500 on a long weekend now.
