My first SeaElite 300 BAR I got in the early 00 time frame and the back of the valve was curved and had no dimple to screw a yoke point into (not that a yoke or donut would fit in the first place). It was also polished to a mirror-like finish
My second, probably late 01 time frame had a flat back and a dimple, but the deep 300 BAR threads. It now sported a frosted, bead-blasted finish. My guess is that SeaElite went to one casting and they just mill down the face of the threads for the 200 BAR version to realize some economies of scale.
My old manifold looks beefier than the new one, but the new one does not look weak by any stretch of the imagination.
