The clock is fixed. However, this makes this post appear before the other post to which I am replying.

The clock has been synced with the Atomic Clock now and that might cause a few issues
for about an hour. :D

Other than that, we seem to be "golden" again. I would like to thank the entire staff for their support in this trying time, with especially HUGE kudos to HowardE and to El Orans. This site would have folded without their tireless support. Hey Howard... GET SOME SLEEP! :D

I'll never understand the mentality of people that enjoy destruction of something for the sake of causing other people distress.

Seems to me to be a basic human characteristic. On a larger scale, it is called war.

:shakehead:

When I do a search I get:

System Message :
This forum requires that you wait 10 seconds between searches. Please try again in 1751 seconds

And it is ticking; if I try in 30 seconds it gives me 1721!

I can do only one search every half an hour!

I'm sorry to hear that once again, you folks have to work hard, at something that you do, should only have to do, for enjoyment
.. but I'm glad that you do work so hard at it, Thank You!:)

Maybe unrelated, but SB system clock seems to be doing funny things. Checking both posting times and the display at the bottom of every SB page. Was originally off by about an hour when I started reading this morning, but I really started wondering when SB's clock went backwards a few minutes on successive page loads (from 11:13 am GMT -5 to 11:12 am).

My personal time zone and daylight savings time settings seem to be correct (i.e. I am actually in GMT -5 (Eastern) and it is indeed 15:23 UTC as I type this, only a couple of minutes after aforementioned display of 11:12 am.).

Some people really should get a life.:shakehead:

I also noticed that a thread I started now has the first reply as the thread starter. It's in the UW photography forum about the 2 Medals in the camera club competition. Very strange.

I posted this in several places, but I reset the clock about 1 hour ago. Things are now displaying normally, but the hour overlap caused some weirdness to postings, this could not be avoided.

Uh, Don, the first time I read post #5 I thought you meant that the first new poster in the very old thread was somehow responsible for the attack.....

if that's not what you meant, guess I need more coffee...
Nope, not at all. Wondered if the attack might have been connected? I don't know what Admin knows, of course. Just offering possible clues.

I'm still wondering if the attack came from the Middle East...??
