I'm not going to make a specific advertisement for conversion kits as I'm not sure it's worth the effort but if anyone wants one just message me.
 
No, I'm very sure that those diaphragms are original SP, I have seen them pretty often, but only in black.
The one on the first photo is the first I found translutioned, but that is probably not so surprising looking at this particular G250 body.
On the photo below you see one G250 as I normally know them from the first and, I think, 2nd generation

Intuitively, it makes sense that a thicker/stiffer diaphragm would require more vacuum effort to bend than a thinner, more flexible diaphragm.
 
Yes, I've seen those knobby diaphragms (black) in a few SP regulators. A quick glance at the part number confirms it is indeed SP.
