The viz at the bridge was only about 3' today, so most people scrapped it.

Hi Sandi.
That was quite a surprise. I never finished my weight checks last week. New wetsuit, but also adding a hooded vest. I have 3 near empty tanks. Got there today about 3:55. People exiting the water. I decided not to get my gear wet.

No big deal for me, but felt bad for the out of towners.
Fortunately days like today are few and far between.

Recap of what's coming to the dive so far...

BBQ pulled pork
Fresh fruit
Homemade Cole slaw
(2) Turkeys
mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping
homemade cranberry chutney
Fryer (With oil)
bread (buns, rolls)

Desserts
LARGE Pumpkin Pie
cranberry pumpkin muffins
Some type of dessert

Condiments
plastic (forks, knives, plates)

Drinks
Some pop
Some water

Other:
some beach chairs
1 folding card table
tanks for Letterboy and company
trash bags

Very nice!

There has been a suggestion to move to one of the outer pavilion areas after we surface to hold the picnic. I think it's a good idea, but it's everyone's picnic, so I leave it to the masses

I have a 10x10 out door canvas covering unit that I will bring as well for shade. We have a backup location for the picnic if the weather does not cooperate

Tim,

Yeah, a friend of mine came all the way down from Melbourne with his daughter, only to have to turn around and drive back. He had a good attitude about it, though. I hate to drive any distance, so I might not have been as nonchalant about it.

I love the PEOPLE of ScubaBoard! I've only been diving a little over a year, but I've never known of BHB being undivable any time I planned on going there. That doesn't mean that there couldn't be a time. Hopefully someone who knows more about winds can answer this one.

BHB was un-diveable yesterday. Viz was 3-5'. I could have dove it, but not with Riley.

Wait until I tell Riley you called him a girl... is he ever going to give you grief next time you see him. :rofl3:

The trip would have been better if you would have been feeling better.... we could have hit the brass ring... :)

RUM huh? YUM! You want discreet? Use a commuter coffee mug. Discreet as heck.

What is up with the shopping carts?

Somebody mention rum??? :D :D :D

Ooops! In trouble again! The story of my life. :sad2:

Going to the brass ring might have made me feel better (hic). Are you coming down for the Turkey Fry?

Trash bags are good, we never know when LB will toss!
When I will toss, or when I will need to dispose of someone? I am a trained killer . . .GRRR . . . Aren;t you scared?
