I just saw this on the Nudibranch Hunters of Florida facebook page, posted today:

I'd like all of you who caused a huge uproar about commercial collecting at BHB, which resulted in The Blue Heron Bridge Initiative, to know:
Today at Anglin Pier/Commercial Pier at Lauderdale- by- the- Sea, sandblasters DECIMATED ALL LIFE on the pier columns!!!! By the time I left the site, only the last few rows of columns had not been wiped clean of all creatures. For hours I have been calling everyone I can think of who might be able to stop the blasting of the last few columns at least until some of the animals can be chased away, rather than blown to Oblivion. Anglins Fishing Pier
Has anyone witnessed this?

i don't make it up to the pier much.....keep us informed...is the pier open during this operation?

The closest 2/3 pier open, they are doing construction on end of pier. I was just there yesterday taking a look with the pelicans. Didn’t think to check the pickings, but the fishermen weren’t doing so well.

Haven't heard or seen anything on this.

I am pretty sure this pier is privately owned/leased.
May have been a code/structure compliance directive.

IMO, I would not equate this to what happened at BHB.
