I wouldn't recommend going inside the Yukon without doubles and a line...

... but thats just me.

Well without the doubles, we wouldnt' be going in that far. The stern has that GIANT hole and there are visible side exits almost the entire way. We could just go in with a line into the first room or two. You'd still be able to chuck a minicooper out since those holes are so big.

The ones I was gonna go in and out of without a line was not any part of the main hull structures but the areas on the main decks where there's no to almost no overhead (keeping in mind that it's on it's side). Essentially like going through a big tube or a big box with top and bottom open.

Nice....sounds like a nice and easy penetration

Yeah, I'm a fan of the engine room myself.
Hopefully conditions will be great :)

I've been wanting to dive the Yukon but I don't think the schedule works for me. Have fun, dive safe!

Well maby next time it will work out.

Hold on here! The Yukon is not to be penetrated, only by highly trained, and equipped professionals. The certs you guys hold are recreational certs. I am wreck trained, with over 1000 dives under my belt, and I just stay on the outside. There has been numerous mishaps on this wreck. There are entanglement hazards, not to mention the silt up problem. And then, the depth is a whole different ball game. Unless you are trained in doubles, oxygen enriched air, bailout bottles, hang bottles, trained by a competent wreck instructor, and have numerous wreck penetrations under your belt, forget it. There is plenty to see on the deck. Make sure you visit the Steve Donathan memorial plaque.

I don't want to make this sound too harsh, but this wreck has taken a few highly trained divers. It is very dangerous. Please reconsider penetrations.

Thank you,
Rick
