I usually will call Glenn at aquarius to get a quick update on a visual for Break Water. He or his son is really nice and will walk out to the shore and tell me how visibility appears.

I also keep this live cam site book marked on my pc and check it on a regular basis. For example, last Sunday that I dove at Break Water, I took a peak at the cam site and saw how calm the swells were against the rock. And today after hearing all the excitement about large swells I clicked on the cam site and you can see the rocks being engulfed by the ocean swells.

Thanks to all. I think I'm going to end up sitting this one out.

I have looked at that webcam also to see what the swells are doing, but I don't know exactly where it is in relation to breakwater, McAbee, Aquarium, etc.

Does anyone know where it's pointing?

Yes,

Actually it belongs to Monterey Bay Aquarium and it sits on a rail, you can sometimes catch the tourist at the bottom corner.
