  • Drysuit is not appropriate for 80 degree carib or south east Asia. I am not using a Drysuit if I can help it.
1) You can swim up even full al80s
2) Lots of people dive dry in the tropics- even warmer than 80F too, its not a big deal

But hey, I am just an idiot on the internet.

Yeah man the Bogaerts thing, with the tube in the mouth, the Andy Davis setup

Built those

I build all sorts of harnesses with MSR bladders, chestmount rebreather harness
ha ha ha hahaha what about rebreather lungs or wrap one around your scooter
and you can even sling a bag for the slingers, between your twins to drink from

Built all those

What about a redundant bladder scoff scoff prrfft didn't you build one of those

Ha ha ha ha ha

if you don't understand it lack the know how to build it and if it didn't come from a scuba shop

and if you didn't seek approval from those people that know less than you then you don't exist

and all this stuff is then invisible, other than as water sacks, which is how I bought them before they went

But hey, I just love being anonymous on ScubaBoard.

Not an idiot, just not really open to critique despite the title. The bladder is nice and well made - just isn't needed in the ocean in the first place

Those bladders never stop tasting like the first drink out of an old hose left out in the sun all day. You might as well use them as dive gear, cause as survival gear they’re just gross

It’s possible to buy a sidemount wing which is commercially made from a repurposed MSR bladder.

And if you are happy to install your own OPV and inflator hose …

Dude, are you still using a ten inch black and white CRT monitor

These are Deco stuff not MSR and they do have installed fittings

They really are quite rubbish photographs

The main issue with life jacket CO2 cartridge inflators is that they are meant to be used on the surface and fully discharge and inflate the life jacket. There’s no ability to partially fill the bladder.

They work real cool underwater just like when people would set off your jacket when you were wearing it

Bit of an anticlimax actually

They work beautifully without overpressure valves although I am about to install one

See their size underneath a BFK man

Who needs a crack bottle, rebreather people need a crack bottle, well I just like them

Haven't they invented cheap scotch and cocacola in your parts yet

Apologies for how I stated that. It is just like a disclaimer that the internet is not an authoritative place.
It is also an attempt to be self-deprecating and admit that I don't want people to take my ideas as dogmatic truth.

I agree that there is no need for this bladder, but I saw some post about DPV as "redundant buoyancy".
Between, Dry-suits, lift bags, balanced rig and double bladders - I choose the balanced rig approach.
If I have to dive negative - I add second wing that is not attached to an inflator. I check that it holds air at the surface, empty it and secure it to the right shoulder.

I think that this bladder is good enough that if I have to dive negative, I don't need the second wing. One thing I like is that you can secure it to the stage tank and any diver on the team can use it (Unless you dive solo). I have also used is successfully as a DSMB by unscrewing the cap.
I plan to install an OPV as suggested and test it as a lift bag too.
The carabiners were lying around unused in my hiking gear but I will test it with bungees and bolt snaps.
To be honest, this bag was supposed to be for hiking but I don't like using it. I prefer the Osprey Hydraulics LT 1.5Liter
And the Camelback Fusion 3Liter
