Glad you enjoyed your trip, the Red Sea is awesome.

I clocked up well over 40 dives in 13 days, first doing simply the best from 9-16, and then northern wrecks and Ras Mo from 16-23. My Galileo showed the water temp at 28 degrees C the entire time, apart from a steaming drift down Woodhouse when it dropped to 26 degrees C. I was cooking in my 5mm Proteus wetsuit and even had to flood it occasionally to cool myself down.

It is all down to personal preference at the end of the day, and while I would definitely have been in my drybag from late-December till early March, it would have been major overkill for me.

Were you guys on the Salem Express? Were several divers whizzing around on scooters while I was photographing the big fat green frogfish on the deck spar.
