this year at Boston Sea Rovers, Dave Caldwell is organizing a rebreather Demo. This is your chance to try out a few different rebreathers from Dive Rite, Silent Diving, and rEvo! No experience is needed! If you are in the market for one or just want to swim around with one to see what it's about then this is a great opportunity.

Description:
This event is being offered to certified recreational scuba divers wanting the opportunity to experience rebreather diving in a controlled environment with an experienced rebreather instructor. Whether wanting to try a rebreather for the first time or for already certified rebreather divers wanting to demo a specific manufactures rebreather unit.
The program will include an intro lecture of manual and fully electronic rebreather designs, how to choose a rebreather to meet your diving needs, common myths and conceptions, and basic skill overview. Followed by a pool demonstration where participants will be able to try different rebreathers under the guidance and supervision of a rebreather instructor.

Steve Lewis Silent Diving / Rebreather Instructor
Steve Lewis has been an active technical diver, instructor and expedition leader since the early 1990s when diving was an antidote to a career in marketing and brand management. In 2002 he retired from the corporate world and became a dive bum full-time, and is currently a training, and product consultant for a major rebreather manufacturer and design consultant for a leading open-circuit dive equipment company. As a speaker, educator, and blogger, he is best known for promoting safe diving practices to technical divers using both open and closed-circuit kit, in caves, on wrecks and in open water environments.
Matt Marcoux Revo Representative / Rebreather Instructor
Matt Marcoux co-captains the vessel Daybreaker where he started crewing for his father in 1997. Matt became openwater certified in 1994 and became a NAUI instructor in 2004. Currently Matt is a TDI and IANTD rEvo CCR, advanced nitrox and decompression instructor. Matt also holds certifications of advanced trimix CCR and full cave CCR.
Matt has dived both coasts of the United States, many Florida caves, much of the Caribbean, and Australia but still loves diving in New England the best. Matt enjoys diving new sites whether its a wreck or cave or anything.
Pete Nawrocky Dive Rite Manufacturing / Rebreather Instructor
Pete Nawrocky began his diving career in 1971 in Long Island, NY. As a marine biology major in college, Pete became fascinated by the ocean and wanted to see for himself what he was studying. Since his High School days, Pete has spent his carreer diving, exploring and photographing a multitude of environments
Pete joined Dive Rite in 1998 and is best known for his willingness to share his passion for diving with others.
An avid underwater photographer, Petes photos have graced the pages of many scuba magazines over the years and can often be found in Dive Rites own advertisements. Always the educator, Pete often uses his photography in his lecture presentations, which has taken him from Anchorage Alaska , Bonaire the World Trade center as well as Industry Trade shows, local aquariums, high schools, etc.A Recipient of the Beneath the Sea Diver of the Year, Naui contribution to sport diving award and SSI Platinum Pro.
