Just be careful “detuning” it too much as you can make a diluent flush not effective especially at depth. I have found that as you get more time on the unit that you can feel it before it engages and adjust accordingly.
Agreed. Like Lamar says, if you think you need to adjust it 1/4 turn - go half that. It doesn't take much, however the ADV firing when it shouldn't and shutting it off to prevent this can also lead to issues if the diver is task loaded and forgot they shut the ADV off, especially on a unit like the chop with the MAV integrated into the ADV. I wouldn't advise any extensive dives until the ADV is adjusted and working properly.
