Oh Andy...Andy. You're so sadly misinformed. Herring and sardines are what food eats.

I think he has "New England" confused with the original "England"..... :D

you are what you eat, and if food eats herring and sardines, food is herring
and sardines, which means you are herring and sardines

(try to disprove that, buddy, being inductive (or is it deductive?) reasoning)

lobsters eat at the Chinese Buffet... i see them there all the time

Clams... mmmmmm.
One summer I did a trip across the US sampling clam chowders; found the PNW had some excellent offerings (yaaay razor clams). MN, WI & MI has a very tasty chowder too.
Have a pile of clam chowder recipes: http://www.angelfire.com/ca/divers3/clmchwd.html
Who has the best? Hard to say, I better do it again.

One another note, here on the left coast, our lobster also do not have claws, I got a limit of Pismo clams last week, and I have a BB sized black pearl that I got out of a La Paz pearl oyster. And while the water is not as comfy as Fla., I can dive year round in a wetsuit, and Cousteau placed my Channel Islands in his top three places to dive.

one of my favriote chowda places is Anthonys in Middletown RI
