I am using the Uro-Bond IV glue and quite a lot of it to get a good stick of the she-p on me. I am having terrible trouble getting the glue off myself at the end of the day, using up the Remove wipes at a wicked rate. I am interested to hear about people's experiences using baby oil to help with glue removal. I've used it at the end of a period of diving, and it does seem to help. But I've not been brave enough to use it when I know I'll be applying the she-p the next day. It's so... well... oily! I'm worried that any oil residue will prevent a she-p stick. What do you find?
Any other glue removal advice - that won't affect a she-p stick over consecutive days of diving?
If you're not getting any irritation, why not?Baby Duck uses baby oil, so I am sure she can help.
I use another solution, which probably makes the medical types cringe: Goo-Gone. It is cheap, available anywhere, and I've used it for years with cuts on my fingers and such without any irritation / stinging. So, when I needed to get rid of sticky residue - and like you, was going through remove and burning money - I gingerly tried the Goo-Gone! Worked wonderfully, no irritation (or weird warm sensation like Remove), and soap and water gets rid of the Goo-Gone oils.
Mind you, that is not a Goo-Gone intended use, but it works for me! Just sharing the experience.
I rub it off in the shower. I can't STAND putting the Remove stuff on myself -- I'm awed that anyone can. I'd use a flamethrower to get the glue off, before I'd use Remove again
