Not a hawksbill. Green?

Yes, hawkbill. See the jagged rear end to his shell?
I am no expert. Now watch 10 people tell me I'm wrong. :silly:
Very nice shot, btw.

I agree with Don, and for the same reason. The saw tooth shell makes it a Hawksbill turtle.

Oh... I have to be # 1 of DD's 10 disagreements. It's a green.
"They are easily distinguished from other sea turtles because they have a single pair of prefrontal scales (scales in front of its eyes), rather than two pairs as found on other sea turtles." Sea Turtle Conservancy - Loading...

Their heads also have that much more rounded appearance, the beak is not shaped similar to a raptor beak, their scutes have those beautiful shades of tan and often blue or green...

just from looking at the color(brownish shell)-its a green one!

As a dive guide, toratuga whispererer...I would tell my fellow divers, it's a "Greenie". Seen a SUPER HUGE one after 'unhooking' at the famous Peleliu Express, counted (17) of them at Clearance Wall on one dive, and been to several Ulong Island BBQ's.
