Had our gear in for service. The shop indicated that they could not service the ProSub Avalon this year as the company went out of business and the shop could not get parts. I did not purchase this through them, but from another instructor/shop in another state. My shop was able to service it last year at this time. I ended up purchasing an Octo from my shop to replace this one.

My question. What can / should I do with this Octo?

Their website is up and running. I sent an e-mail and will let you know if I get a response. Till then, I would just wait.
BTW, how is the diving still over there? Sometimes I think about the oyster dives we used to do.

Thanks. I will get a photo and email it to them.

The diving is just a little cooler than it is there - about 30 - 40 degrees right now. The viz is wonderful, but a fraction of what you have - 10 -15 feet on a good day in the quarries. I didn't get out to oyster dive, but our club chartered a boat on Kent Island and everyone got a bushel. The oyster population has been in a serious decline.

Getting wet anywhere is better than not getting wet. The local quarries open the first of April and run until November. If you get bored of 100 foot viz and 70 - 80 degree temps, you should come back to the area.

Wheaton,
I was actually reminiscing. I certified in the Baltimore area and my first 4 years of diving were in the quarries and off the coast of MD/DE.
If you ever get over this way, look me up. I'll take you diving.
