Philippine Air’s policy doesn’t sound any different than TSA’s. Once you remove the valve, its no longer a SCUBA tank, just an aluminum cylinderScuba tank is NOT considered as sport equipment.
Remove the valve and pack it with the rest of your personal items in the checked bag.
My wife and I have brought our regulators as carry on baggage on 4 PA flights....Vancouver to Manila and return, twice. That was pre-covid so maybe the rules have changed or we just got lucky.A bit off topic but on Philippine airlines you can not bring your regulator set as carry on.

Maybe they take the ferriesThe pony is for solo diving. I can only presume that there are solo divers in the Philippines and was wondering how they travelled around the country with their pony bottles. Does Cebu Pacific allow pony bottles to be checked?
