I'm a Fish!
Question ? Just looked at the back of my passport card and it said " good for land or sea travel " So do I need to get a paper passport for this trip to Bonaire from the US? Or will the passport card work ? A fast reply would be helpful as we travel 9/11 :shocked2:

Thanks Jim....

U.S. Passport Card

The U.S. Passport Card can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry and is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book. The passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.

You'll need a real passport.

flots.

i think its self explanatory "can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry"

why do they even make such a thing???

Cruise travelers and Spring Breakers?

The site says it's geared towards border areas. Here in Michigan we have people that go back and forth to Canada by car frequently. Cottages, etc. Oldschool is from Maine.

Michigan had an enhanced drivers license for frequent border crossings but I hadn't heard of the fed passport card.

Yes... live on the border of Maine and Canada so its just easy to have a card in your wallet at all times to cross at anytime.. Who wants to carry a passport book with them all the time ?

Jim...

PS... Sometimes it faster to get a answer from real people then playing search the web...
