I'd like to request the opinion of Atomic SS1 owners on whether or not you're happy with the SS1; faults, issues, like, dislikes? Did you chose something else?

I'd like not to start an integrated octo vs. non-integrated octo discussion. I've some of those threads already.

Thanks in advance.

Great breather and easy to use when wearing thick gloves. Kinda twitchy though. My experience has been that it requires frequent adjustment to avoid minor freeflows, so keep an allen wrench in your bag

BTW, I like the way it adapts to just about any diameter hose and can be threaded off to travel in my carryon bag.

Thanks Tim. What's the tendency to freeflow? And is stopping one on an integrated as simple as turning it like a non-integrated?

Excellent. Buttons are easy to push. Good LP hose that easily connects/disconnects. Good customer service and support from Atomic. I also have a second Atomics reg setup with the Ti2 octo instead of an SS1. Both setups work just fine.

I'm a big fan of my ss1 which I've had for about 3 years now. Very easy to use, breathes well (never had to rely on it as a true alternate) and doesn't free flow much -- when it does, a good tap and it stops. It's also very easy to take off and clean.

Only suggestion I have is to change the mouth piece. The stock one is tiny and just didn't cut it.

My wife and I have the Ti2. Almost 2 years old, taken lots of places. The ability to put them in the reg bag without tools is a big plus, also the fact that the threaded fitting is garden hose thread permits a very easy flush of the bc bladder. We have never had a bit of trouble with either unit.

Excellent piece of equiptment and certainly "unclutters" your gear. Breathes well at any depth, no free flow problems, no nitrox complications.

My wife and I are happy with ours. Again, like the quick disconnect to throw in the carryon bag.
