Due to the inflexibility on my return from Socorro, I have withdrawn from this trip. It's going to be an amazing trip and the Nautilus Belle Amie has an excellent plan for protecting divers from Covid-19. They have a solid plan for testing and assisting with divers, but there is a small chance of a false positive test, which could delay me returning to the states and cause problems.

Since I have zero flexibility on the return, I will look to dive Socorro another time that doesn't put me in a tough spot.

I want to thank all of you, especially Dan and Uncfnp for engaging in excellent conversation and providing guidance on this trip.

Unfortunately, the US government introduced an unacceptable risk for me that wasn't present when I decided to join all of you.

You are all going to have an amazing time!

Thanks for the heads up. I understand your situation and concern. Hopefully we’ll dive together someday.

It all seems to be coming together. Got our room reservation at Tesoro Los Cabos. Then plane tickets today, arriving the 10th and departing the 21st. Eric received his first covid vaccine this week and a simple phone call got my name changed on my global entry! I really wasn’t expecting the last two.

Glad to hear that. I'll get my 1st shot of COVID vaccine on this coming Saturday. By May I'll get the 2nd shot. 4 of my dive buddies would also get their vaccines before the trip.

I & one of my dive buddies, who would be sharing cabin in Belle Amie and room in Tesoro with me, have also booked the flights on United leaving noon time on May 10 and returning noon time from Cabo on May 22.

If your flight arrival on May 10 around 2pm, we can go to Tesoro together. I can make the transport arrangement on a van shuttle fit for 6-8 people to save some money.

I still have not able to find @apenland01 replacement. Hopefully soon as the balance payment is due next month.

American Flight arrival time is 2:21. Probably too late for you. There was an earlier flight but only an hour to change planes in Dallas. Not knowing the airport I picked the later flight. If that isnt too late we would love to ride along.

Not too late. I'll wait for you two. I could set up a private van (option 2, below) if you want to join us or you can arrange your own transport if you prefer. His rates & options are:
1. Private Transportation from airport to Tesoro for $85 (1-4 pax)
2. Private Transportation from airport to Tesoro for $105 (5-12 pax)
3. Shuttle service one way from Tesoro to airport for $25/pax

The last one (#3 option) is not available on arrivals because of COVID-19 restrictions at the airports. It's only available on departure, but you may need to wait 35 minutes to 1 hour for the shuttle to round up the cats, I mean, the other passengers.

With the private transportation you don't need to wait and go straight to Tesoro after arrival or to the airport on departure and if you book it online, you'll get additional discount.

It'll take 45 minutes to 1 hour drive time.

If you truly don’t mind waiting I’ll take advantage of your offer and let you make arrangements for our arrival transportation. Its not often I get to sit back and let someone else do the work.

Should I make return arrangements now or wait til we arrive? I would pick the private shuttle even if just Eric and I on the return.

We have time. I’m still rounding up the cats, I mean, my dive buddies to make their decisions on their preference and when they are going home. One of them is from Canada and she is thinking of going straight home after the trip. I let you know once I get all of the confirmation. Then you can book your return arrangements.

It would be better for Pako to get the right info once. This way we won’t be going back and forth in changing the arrangements and creating confusion.
