Shawn,
I can go diving Saturday around noon, just can't go camping.. See ya.

Shawn,

Wow...that's a major undertaking. I'm game for whatever...just not setting up navigation points. I'm terrible with navigation. I get lost in my kitchen!

Full moon starting on the 26th.,,,if not cloudy always makes for great night diving.

YEP, it will be a lot of FUN

This is a big Navigation test for the diver setting it up correctly, and the players who need all 5 cards to play at the end topside.

Then to recover the bags could be turned into a search session for the volunteers to get our bags and slates back. We could just dump the rock holding the bag underwater. Leave it for mother nature or something like that.

We also have pumpkin carving Saturday night - that would be underwater knife skills

We have a suggestion of an underwater costume contest - I will have to find out more about this since I am not real sure how this one plays out.

All this sounds great! Are you still feeling that ambitious since you came up with this while on vacation and now you're back at work? Seriously, let me know if you need help and I'd be glad to do what I can. I got the OK from the boss to stay all weekend so I'm good to go and ready to help! :D

Oh, BTW, Brian and I dove out at WP last night. The vis wasn't too bad...crapped out at 120'. On Tuesday over at Mansfield it was beautiful from 100' to 150+'...that's as deep as I went. The water is still plenty warm. I didn't notice any serious thermoclines down to 120' and the water temps are still in the 80s.

Bring your warm jammies though. It was beautiful, warm and sunny topside right up until it got dark. Then it cooled off fast...granted I'm a weenie when it comes to cold weather, but I was hustling to get out of my wetsuit and into some dry clothes after the last dive of the night which was around 9:15 pm, or so.

1. Pumpkin Carving Saturday night will be joining the Scubaland Divers and staff at Windy Point, fun times - bring your own pumpkin - let me know and I will put you on their list of contestants
2. Practice lift bag techniques - bring your lift bags - I will have mine available to practice with
3. Underwater Poker Run - for navigation skills underwater
If everyone still wants to do this
I will bring the 5 decks of cards,

What we need are 5 little bags for the cardswho can bring the 5 slates to tie the compass headings too?

We can pick who sets up the course Saturday morning. I am looking forward to the weekend. So far I count about 15 people who may be able to make it. Sure hope everyone can come and enjoy a little diving together.

This will be a great time together. Looks like enough interest to keep me energized.

Someone was bringing firewood for Friday night,
I think we could use more firewood for the campfire to stay warm.

I am bringing the charcoal to cook

Who is getting there early to grab our spot Friday?

Shawn O.

It looks like the poker game may be too much work for this cowgirl but good luck to those who ante up!

Lets talk about it Saturday morning. I can set it up easily, and the players will have fun. You just take the slate, take a compass heading and go a little distance.

Guess I am asking keep an open mind and check it out. Make a final decision Saturday if thats OK.

Just asking???????
