Diver Dennis:
What price range will those HUD masks be in Larry?

Better yet, when is the website going to be updated :D

Paul in VT

scubatoys:
They are! It will be in my pool on Monday.
Really? So what, is it 4 or only 3 years late? Honestly I can't wait to try one out!

fishb0y, it's Windows based... what did you expect?

BTW, as you might have noticed, the name of the thread has been changed per the OP's request.

cerich:
Not yet, we have 4 new coming out this year, ATOM 2.0, HUD Mask, VT 3 and a little while later the VEO 100 NX (Nitrox)

It looks like Veo 100NX has already been on the market in Australia..

VEO 100 Nx Dive Computer – Nitrox compatible to 50%, audible alarm with LED light, smartglo backlighting, optional pc interface, 24 dive log

Not yet, unfortunately...

I assume you found that quote here? It says to "keep a look out" for it as a new product this season.

So what's 580 Oz bucks in USD? Hmmm... looks like about US$410. Not that great a price, at least down under there...

speaking of Australia,

can anyone explain to me why the MSRP of the VT Pro is $1499 over here? (AUD) and if you buy "online" it only drops to $1424.05?

another thing, i am SUPER keen for some Aeris gear, but the Aust. distributor is "out to lunch" over a few issue's so they're not bringing in Aeris gear, i'd love to, but dont seem to get any replies from anyone in the states about the whole thing...

i just think that if the MSRP has dropped so much in the USA, wouldnt it be right to do the same here?

so am i correct to assume that customer service stops at the equator? and that the southern hemisphere would appear on a map as "monsters here"?

Masterfish:
"monsters here"
:D

Man, that really sucks. For what it's worth, prices for scuba equipment are much higher here in Europe too, versus in the U.S.

The Oceanic VT Pro is listed on sale at Scuba Toys for US$699.95 -- that would be, what, about AUD 980?

They're in Texas; but I know that Larry there has dealt a lot with mail orders from Australia, and knows the shipping and customs maze... besides, hey, Texas is kind of like Oz, without 'roos...

Maybe shoot them an e-mail or PM?

sounds like thats what its coming too, then i'll be one of those "nasty people that dont support the Australian dive industry and local dive shops" ;)

if ANYONE ever dares ask me why i am going to buy from the USA online, i got a big fat surprise for them.... that, and the complete lack of customer service and customer satisfaction that trails all the way to the top of the chain (above just the LDS's) is appauling, i've even put forward several requests to add a particular brands products to my list, but i get NO replies. I enjoy getting responses to questions, just as everyone enjoys a returned greeting, but really, the level of customer acknowledgement down here in Oz is truly remarkable, in the WORST possible way...

...which kind of explains why Larry does a lot of business with folks in Australia...
