Oceanic DX2 First + Delta Second

Hello,

I picked up a used DX2 first stage + Delta second stage. At the time I didn't know what the first was, but it was too cheap to pass up...

The DX2 first has pre-1995 parts it seems, and no environmental kit. I was hoping to have a reg for pony use, but I'm not so sure this would do the trick.

Any idea on the performance of the first stage? I'll be in cold water (Nova Scotia, could go down to 1 or 2C)!

I haven't been able to find any of the parts kits for this regulator to upgrade it either. Comments I've found from people seemed to say it was a reliable reg, but they might have been in much warmer waters.

My instructor has always used Oceanics, and has used that DX2 first stage with several different second stages without any problems. As for the enviro kit, you might try posting in the Oceanic Forum and see if they can give you some specifics.
