the more trust worthy shops there are AVENUE photo supply and ISLAND photo... WATSONs and MAYER are very reliable too but i don't know if they diddle broken camsjonix:word of caution though...as much as possible guard your cameras while they're being fixed...don't trust them too much.
one other company that can possibly repair old school slrs is Sanly Incorporated. they're a distributor of Pentax cameras. they have a shop at the 5th level of megamall, bldg B. you can ask around. i had my manual slr serviced by them a few years back
yup they are... all w/in 1 or 2 shops of each other...yomar:i already called up AVENUE and HENRY'S but was told that they don't fix slrs. do you have any other contact numbers?
chip: what's your camera?
shugar: are the shops you mentioned located in quiapo area?
jonix: can they fix non-pentax manual SLRs?
TIA
Thanks a lot jag!shugar:yup they are... all w/in 1 or 2 shops of each other...
if a photographer teacher shows up around here i'll be sure to get a contact from them... they would know for sure

nice yomar. I have an olympus OM series camera (don't ask me which one, cause I don't know. I do know it was a transition model). They stopped distributing them in 2002.yomar:Got my SLR fixed already. Yoohhooo!!! However, they were not able to fix the light metering system. Too bad
Dude, buy a digital SLR, no doorchip104:nice yomar. I have an olympus OM series camera (don't ask me which one, cause I don't know. I do know it was a transition model). They stopped distributing them in 2002.
The camera door is broken - it won't close cause the lever is broken. I usually tape it up with duct tape but the last couple of times light has still managed to get in so it's about time to get it fixed.
Think the place you went to can help me?
btw, what SLR do you have?
