Hi, newb here, first post and all but love the site for the valued info and opinions. Thing is, I've had 2 of these masks (lim ed) on order since september. The dealer is frustrated, I'm frustrated, I think we are all frustrated. I've emailed oceanic Uk (I'm Irish so nearest dealer) about the delays and have got the usual response " As yet, we haven't been informed. As soon as we have any news I will Email you. We are as disappointed as you about the delay, and hope to despatch them in the near future." This was several, several weeks ago.
My email detailed several other issues and none were specifically responded to. I've decided to wait like almost everyone else but the hype surrounding this mask is starting to rapidly wear thin, along with my faith in oceanic as a company. Perhaps I am ignorant re product testing but how on earth can a company release a product, take a load of orders, find it defective, withdraw it, retest and rebuild it from the ground up (and skip the part where you inform the devoted re the real problems) and then hope that Joe public's belief in the hype will keep them hungry for more? Sadly for me, it is.....and I am disgusted with myself for it!
However, once bitten etc...I won't deal with Oceanic again. I just hope that whenever the mask arrives that all the issues have been fully resolved and that we, as a group, do not become the beta testers for a flawed product.
