Hi All,
I am a new diver looking into purchasing my first regulator set.
I will be living mostly in Thailand and so mostly warm water diving (and Thai dive shops).
I will be in the US soon and would like to buy a regulator set while I am home.
I am looking at the Hog fist and second stage set and I have a few questions. Questions based on my current dive status as Padi advanced open water + Nitrox cert so I will not be doing and technical or "advanced" diving. Mostly reef diving in tropical conditions.
My questions are:
1. The Hog comes with a Din connector but all of the rental tanks around here are yoke style is there a recommended adaptor?
2. Hose length? Suggestions on how to detemine my optimal hse length baed on my diving profile and body size (if this matters). I am Medium/large and slim build.
3. I was told I don't need a depth gauge because I have a dive computer but I feel that a backup is a good idea. Any suggestions here? Entry level brand/model to consider?
4. Anything else that I should consider?
TIA
