The Native New Yorker ended her life as a top dweller.
As she was being bulldozed into Falling Rock Quarry one of
the ballast stones crashed into the captain's chair breaking
it loose, that was the beginning of a very rough sinking.
After entering the quarry she listed hard to port and drifted
back to the wall she entered on. Joe then towed her out to
what we thought would be her final resting place and after
10 minutes, she finally made her plunge to the deep. She did
not go down without a fight, as she slipped the surface the
captain's chair remained behind; she then rolled over and came
to a rest upside down. A crew of divers set out to right her on
the bottom, I left after 4 hours seeing her on the surface still
upside down. More power to the dedicated divers working to right
her, after 2 dives I was done for the day. I hope to see her again
upright and on the bottom, I just hope there was not too much
damage to the cabin.
