Finalized report 
I got my fins back yesterday ... I know it took nearly 5 months for them to get back from Scubapro (or Maui Dive Shop - dunno) but I am happy to have a new pair of fins!
Nothing like a brand new pair of stiff Jet fins. Talk about easy to a back kick in them (maybe it's all in my head, but I'm enjoying my new fins)
Mahalo for all the great ideas you guys (and gals) had for me.
