I just replaced my 8 year old O'Neill neoprene suit with a brand new one. I have used the neoprene Diving Concepts gloves with the snap ring system for several years. I love the gloves - they are warmer than any other dry gloves I have tried.

I have not been able to get the ring system to seal in my new suit. My new suit has slightly thicker neoprene (air bubbles not as compressed as my older suit, etc.). Perhaps the outer glove rings have stretched such that they are not tight enough in securing the new neoprene to the ring system?

My first dive I did not have the outer glove o-rings separated enough and it leaked the moment I got in the water. For the 2nd dive I spaced the rings farther apart and I was dry down to about 10' before it started leaking.

Anyone else have this experience and find a solution? My first thought is either new outer glove o-rings or even a large hose clamp (covered in rubber so it does not tear my neoprene).

Thanks

We have found with neoprene drysuits, we use an additional O ring.

Thanks
That has been my thought, my existing o-rings may be a bit stretched combined with the brand new neoprene. A buddy of mine mentioned using vacuum cleaner belts. I don't know where I could pick up DC out glove rings....
