@ Pete Find a Cheng Man Ching lineage group. Dr. Cheng's short form, aka CMC 37, emphasizes balance and leg joint mobility. The story is, he developed it in response to the most common problem he observed in his older patients: falling down and breaking bones.

Funny thing is: I don't fall down. I popped two Achilles Tendons while standing and then even broke my leg. I never hit the ground. I've got great balance but lack flexibility.

Weebles wobble but they don't fall down.

Hematology appt today. I got there a half hour early, and the closest parking spot to the building vacated as I approached. :D I walked into the building and this lovely nurse sensing that I was lost, pointed me to Hematology on the third floor. I check in and was told that I was early and there would be a half hour wait. I was fine with that, but no sooner had I sat down I was called back. Wow. My weight was the same as my scale shows, which was a first. :D BP and all that was fine. 110/68, 68 pulse. The nurse wasn't even done with her questions and the Doctor showed up, and took over. Both of them were more than nice, and I really felt that they cared. She asked me if I had any questions, and I had to answer that I had no idea why I was there. Ah: I had blood clots. We had a good discussion about Eliquis which led me to ask if there were cheaper alternatives. Not really, but she gave me a $10 copay coupon that works with Medicare!!! So, my third, and final, prescription of Eliquis will only be $10!!! Yay!!! I love this Doctor Jacobsen!!! She's the best! She sent me down to have labs done, and it was also easy. I was told to expect a 20-to-30-minute wait, but again, as soon as I sat down, I was called. I walked out of the building as my phone alarm told me that I had an appt! :D

She just called me with the results: I have iron-poor blood. :( She's asking me to take Vitamin C and Iron at dinner. Silver multi-vitamins will suffice, but I've been off my vitamin regimen since just before the surgery. It's time to restart that regimen.

Beef liver pâté ain't bad either.

I love spinach! I had it last night in our chicken salad. Walnuts, hazel nuts, cashews, raisins, tomatoes, grapes, black berries, grilled chicken, lettuce, spinach, croutons, and a smear of bacon Catalina. Ethan did a great job.

One largish step for me, but still a small step in my overall recovery: I took a standing up shower!!!

A STANDING UP SHOWER!!!

I hate my shower chair. I do. Nothing says debilitated quite like my shower chair, and my 4-wheeled walker. Nothing. So, I took a few moments to figure out the logistics, tested my ideas twice with the seat still in place, and then I moved the seat out of my shower. Yay!!! Yay!!! Yay!!! My bum has never been so clean. Getting out was a bit worrisome, what with wet feet and slippery surfaces, but I managed easily and safely. No more scooting my bum in and out. The new sprayer is a bit higher, which means I no longer have to lean back to rinse my hair. All around coolness.

And no, I don't think I need my 4-wheeled walker anymore either. I have buggies when I go shopping, and my stamina is slowly improving.

I did have a good look at my saggy self in the mirror today. My Gawd! Yes, I'm wearing 2X rather than 3X, and I love my weight loss, but the sags and wrinkles make me look old and decrepit. I've got a bunch more to lose, so I'm really gonna let it all hang out. :D :D :D

Speaking of Olaf... he became a meme today:

And yes, he comes and cuddles most every night and just loves to be petted again, and again, and again, ad nauseum... I think he's trying to make up for lost time. :D

As you start weight training you will tighten up that skin. I am either a year younger or older than you, it really works.

The stubborn weight around the middle sucks, but not as sucky as bingo arms, which I’m happy to say are mostly gone.
