Early tomorrow they will remove the clot filter from my vena cava. I probably won't be on much.

Good luck - hope all goes well!
I'm out of the hospital and finally back at home at 5pm! Got there at 7am with first appointment @ 7:45. She saw me @7:05and all my DVTs are gone. GONE! Great sign, right? Got to the next place and had to wait till 9 for my 10am procedure. The chairs in their waiting room were diabolically uncomfortable. I got wheeled back a couple minutes past nine and got prepped. Unfortunately, they had some delay and I wasn't wheeled into the OR until 12:30pm, some 3 and hours later! They used some sort of Fentanyl mix for my happy-juice and it worked quite well. It didn't knock me out until they pulled the trap out. I told a lot of jokes I was told. However, Hope, one of the nurses that took care of me when I had the embolism was there and she helped me to endure all the delays. My neck is exceedingly sore, as they went through the Jugular Vein. I'm just glad that it's done. I'm going to OD on Ricola sugar-free throat lozenges now.

Caveat: I've become quite the fan of Jersey Mike's Famous Philly Cheese sandwich with extra onions. Found them on my way home. Delish and a great way to break my fast.

Caveat 2: I dropped another 5 pounds when I weighed in this morning, bringing me down to the lowest I've been in over a decade. Way, way cool.

Caveat 3: It's going to cost me $160 for my refill on Eliquis. That's just wrong. I was hoping to be able to go off of it, but they want me on another month "just in case".

It's going to cost me $160 for my refill on Eliquis.

There is also a $10 program you might qualify for,,,

My Part D covers my Clopidogrel and Betaformin well, but not my Xareltio, but I have a super cheap source direct from a factory connection. I do vet the sources to ensure that they are licensed factories authorized by the patent holders.

The wound to my jugular vein.

Picking up my Eliquis this morning, the Pharmacist suggested that I might be in the "donut hole". The what? It's a thing that Medicare calls the coverage gap, and it goes away next year. Mounjaro went from $40 to $140 last refill, but now they want $255/month. Next year I will benefit from a $2000 cap on all drug expenses. So, I will opt for only life-essential meds for the rest of the year. I put a link in there, if you want to read more.

@DandyDon I don't qualify for the discounts. :( Thanks for the links though.

Oh yeah, since I'm under a "no strain" order, all of the activities I wanted to do today have been cancelled. :( I really need to fix my zero-turn mower.
