Also, I use an extra QD nipple with a port plug to blank it off if the transmitter isn't attached.

I was running a ScubaPro HP QD. In the end it was more of a PITA (too long, fizzed if the lock ring got jostled, etc.) I can just put a port plug in the end if I would, however unlikely, somehow need to run without a transmitter.

Thanks for the response guys, much appreciated. I know JD said he uses a Y adapter he got from Piranha, which adapter are you using? Did you have to bore it out and add a spool as well?
