I think someone made a mistake on Sat's swell hgt. I wish it was true. :(

Good catch, Michelle.

The C&M forecast for tomorrow looks pretty good:

> SAT
> NW WINDS 15 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 5 FT.
> W SWELL 5 TO 10 FT AT 14 SECONDS. CHANCE OF SHOWERS THROUGH THE
> DAY. SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON.

But the Navy WAM reads as 12-15'West, and the CDIP forecast
reads as 14-16' With a west swell, the Breakwater may be
sheltered enough, but check the forecasts before you go,
and keep a weather eye on the actual conditions.

Thanks Chuck! Do you think Lobos might be sheltered enough for us Sat also?

I can just see it now.... Doing our first OW dives for Tech 1 at Breakwater is gonna be fun.... I can just see the waves crashing into the parking lot.... I can see us trying to schelp doubles and deco bottles down thru the surf....

I think I should just stay in bed and dream of diving....

the latest report. Looks like the swell height forecast is increasing.

Well, we're going to have to see what it looks like at Lobos. Please be in touch with your buddies and bring some sneakers or hiking boots if you want to hike instead. Might be an early lunch at Gianni's.

Again, if anyone needs my #, its available.

Otherwise, my gear is in the car and ready to go. See you all in the AM!

We are going early to breakwater with a class...I have been keeping notes on predected conditions (mostly swell directions) and then comparing to actual conditions...with the west swell i think it will be a go at least in the protected area inside the point...around the point its more unprotected and the west swells are comming straight in and could be iffy....sunday looks just plain nasty...but then I'm not traveling that far so its worth it to go take a look...
