Ok I got a minute to update the list.

This is the final who is bringing what list

I will have the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew sign I will be there early Friday morning it will be hung up somwhere visible for everyone to see. You cant miss us The GLWC Bunk House is 30ft long so it is visable from way down the road. Plus for the ladies it does have running water and flush toilets. for those that dont want the hassle or take up the space that were going to bring small grills and propane. Bunkhouse has full kitchen also so if you dont want to bring that stuff you dont have to.

Dont worry about when and who to dive with. Diving always takes place pretty much non stop all weekend. That is the one good thing about Gilboa. Just gear up and giant stride in. It usually finishes up each night with a night dive.

The Pot luck........ and let me add these usually put most buffets in vegas to shame. Usually takes place between 1and3 on Satuday so this for sure is the day and time you will want to try and be there.

Also it looks like I have a couple more openings in the bunkhouse two of the guys Im bringing decided not to stay overnight. so whoever was looking for a place to lay there head I have some room now. And As Always as per this event Palm greasing with green paper always opens spots.

That is it see everyone On Friday Morning.

Not to be picky... but so that everyone is on the same page. The space above the Shower rooms is considered the Apartment (frig, range, sink, bathroom), next door is the cottage, and above the office is the bunk rooms (bunk beds only). This way if you talk to the staff, they'll have a better idea of where to direct you.

The term Bunkhouse is what we have named my and Tractor_Toms when he was with us 5th wheel trailers. Thanks for letting us know for future reference though what amenities Gilboa has.

gtxl1200:
I know this thread has gotten way to big now so there is a lot of wondering and other things going on which has all been mentioned throughout the thread. So I will re-hash some of them here to hopefully answer questions you may have or missed.

Myself and Cldwdiver plus three not known to this group will be there between 10 and 11 am Friday. we will be there until sunday Afternoon sometime.

we will be all the way to the end of the road You cant miss us the bunk house and a Wrecking crew sign will be up.

Gilboa is HUGE there will be plenty of Tent camping We are there during off season so we should have run of the place. the earlier you get there the closer you can set up your tent to the main gathering area then they just spread out down the road from there.

Food and amounts of it have never been an issue just bring the amount you normally would for a family gathering pot luck. We always have enough leftovers to feed a large 3rd world country.

Diving,, it happens all day and into the night. People are always gearing up and ungearing dont fret about finding someone to dive with. There will be people there of all dive levels from 0 dives to 1000 dives and each and every one of them will dive with the other, were not picky or choosy who we dive with. 1 rule even though it is usually not a problem if you chose to start on adult beverages Your done diving for the day. There will be plenty of time for adult beverage drinking and bottle melting later in the evening.

Dive gear. There is always extra so dont fret if your missing something or if you even want to try something else. We share and dont mind it. Just feel free to ask. If you need dry gloves installed that the easter bunny left you. Our own dry glove specialist Mitten Diver will be there to help you with them.

Wood,, Diver Brian has arranged for that situation. Problem is solved. Maybe a donation to him to help out plus he could probably use the money to help make the payment on new divemobile. Or that rebreather we all know he has got a down payment on.

Several of us are veterans of meet n greets you know who we are. Were the ones not in a panic right now. It has always gone off with out a hitch and the weather gods has always blessed us with supurbed weather. Im sure it will be the same this year. This is supposed to be a fun time and it always is. so relax pack up the dive gear and get ready to meet and line up some new dive buddies for the upcoming season. I will be trying to get a weekend lined up during this event for a weekend of wreck diving in Alpena. It was mentioned by diver paula last year for me to do this. Plus I would like to get a couple of Saturday dives out of Port Sanilac with our good buddy Gary Venet. before the dive shops book him up for the summer.

everyone take a deep breath of 36% ean and get ready for a time you wont forget just a week and a half left of waiting.

oh yeah rule #2 what happens at meet n greet stays at meet n greet. That one is fun because you can drop hints about it later in the GLWC forum and those that chose not to join us will always wonder what they missed or what were talking about. It encourages participation in the next one.
example of hints from past meet n greets

Pink Cunuck
bottle melting
Monrovia
Cell phone bill hehehe had to include that one.
Your health insurance will only pay for 17
raw turkey

Just in case any of you missed it the first time around

Well, I hope everyone will have a great time. I won't be able to join you all this time. I've started my own company and since I work from home I sometimes go for weeks without getting on ScubaBoard ;-( My reg stayed in Florida to get serviced (Oh, didn't I mention that I just got back from a week of shore and boat diving in Ft.Lauderdale, Pompano, and Boynton Beach?)

The good news is that my wife, Andrea, is going to start OW classes soon and may be able to be convinced to join a future M&G. (But she hates cold and Gilboa may not be able to sway her if she does any Florida dives before the next M&G!)
