Mares DIN conversion question

I bought a DIN conversion kit for my Mares V32. When I removed the yoke to install the DIN connector I noticed a white sealer or thread locker in the inlet port. This left a flaky residue in the inlet port. I cleaned it out best I could with a qtip.

This leaves me with 2 questions:

1. What was this substance?
2. Do I need to have it torn down to make sure none fell in to the regulator?

That white substance is most likely Christo Lube they used to grease the threads, fear not it is actually an O2 clean lube used in regulators.

Actually, I think its more likely that it was something like loctite or some other cyanoacrylate. Its recommended that for things like yoke retainers in lieu of lubricant in order to avoid the yoke from popping loose at service pressure (3000 PSI). That could really hurt the back of your head if it happened.
And nope, the inlet port is covered by the sintered filter. most likely none went in the port. If in doubt, stick an IP gauge into one of the LP ports and press the purge button on won of the 2nds. If the IP remains relatively stable (ie returns to lock-up pressure within the specified time frame), then most likely the filter is fine.
