March in Cozumel 2010

As much as I wish I was staying in Coz till the 22nd, I just realized that I made our stay too long on the "guest list". We are actually staying from 3/11-3/18!

Sorry to hear that, was looking forward to meeting & diving with you.

I will be down there on Feb 28th - March 13th

Was thinking about using DiveChoice Mexico, but have not finalized anything. I prefer to go out in smaller groups which is why I was looking at them.

O.K.!! Add me to the March list!... I have been trying to talk my wife into waiting till April when it is a bit warmer, but she will not be deterred! So tonight she booked us into Hotel Cozumel for March 20th through March 26th. I haven't decided what dive operator I want to dive with yet. I have been going to CZM regularly since 1985 and for the past several years at least twice a year. I often (make that read "most of the time". LOL) dive with Dive Paradise. Mostly because they are on site and so easy to book with. But, have also gone out with several other operators over the years. Sooo, I am open to suggestions!... Keeping in mind I want to avoid cattle boats and groups of totally novice divers! Has anyone had any experience with Techs-Mex Divers? I know they are American owned and do more advanced/technical diving. I wouldn't mind having the opportunity to get in some decompression diving while there..... Suggestions?

Where: Wet Wendy's (How to get here...) Just off the north side of the square in San Miguel...

When: Saturday, March 13th 7:00ish (very informal, show up when you like)

What: Good food, Good Margaritas, and Great Conversation.

RSVP: Nothing formal here, but it would nice to post on the thread if you are coming so I can tell "Wendy" how many to expect.

Put me in for two. That will be our last night on the island and it sounds like a great way to celebrate another trip to Cozumel! We're also having a ScubaBoard get together at Parrilla Mission (http://www.parrillamission.com/ing/) on the 11th (Thursday) to celebrate Julie's new OW certificate so come on down! This is the one on 30 Avenida between Calle 2 and 4 Norte near the San Francisco Market. Sounds like March is going to be fantastic and we''ll need it after all the snow this month!

I will be diving with Techs-Mex divers from feb 25 to mar 11, my first time with them. I have read some good reviews, and have been in contact with the owner. Dives are limited to 70 minutes when recreational divers are on the boat. They have rebreathers for hire and all consumables, if you are into some really long dives. Training is also available. I will post updates about this trip in the rebreather section if you are interested. Also on Rebreather World under rebreather friendly destinations.
