Is that a bug in the new system or intentional ?

it is still....sooooooo sloooooow and I am still getting this message

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: http://s.skimresources.com/js/4116X643453.skimlinks.js:11

with two places to check either to stop script or continue :-(

this is so annoying and I am not a computer genius and shouldn't have to be to read a forum/board....or make it work like it used to :-/

I'm not having any of that, and few others are still complaining. Even if you are having problems only here, it's still on your end I think.

I've gone to a semi-permanent "workaround" to get my SB fix. It seems the site runs best on Chrome, at least for me. So I found a "Tab Saver" at the Google Chrome app store, and installed it. I can click one time and open SB six tabs I've specified for the six pages I go to the most. They all load at once, in the same time as one page, and I can toggle from one to the next. No, I should not have to be doing this, but it saves frustration, especially given the marginal usability of the Quick (ha!) Navigation feature.

i just recently had things start working... I have been getting "too many redirects" and failed loads. Still takes forever to load on the Ipad and Iphone....

I've noticed a lot of "hangs" when SB pages were trying to load today.

It seemed to be waiting on "http://api.gravity.com"

I assume this is an address in a banner ad or a Google Ad.

Blocking the above web address mad screens quit hanging.

Do image attachments still work correctly?

Another possible datum: One thing I've noticed since the update is some ad images no longer display (both top and left side banners). On the old SB, there would always be ads (which I think is appropriate and didn't want to interfere with, since they help pay for the site). With the new site, something else has changed and some of the ad providers in the distribution chain seem to now be completely relying on scripts to put up their ads, which I presume are getting blocked at the firewall, and the space where the ad should be is now blank a large fraction of the time. The firewall has all of scubaboard.com and it's subdomains whitelisted, which should include adserve, or however it's spelled. On the other hand, while ad provider domains aren't specifically blocked, their scripts are.

I was going to Edit the previous post to add some more information, but suddenly can't find the Edit button. :(

Anyway, not all ads have disappeared ("fortunately"). For example, in this thread, I can currently see ads for the Dancer Fleet (left) and Alaska/Nautilus Swell (top). But on another thread, I had a broken-link box at the top pointing to ad.doubleclick.net.
