Major Update May 10, 2011

Having to go back to my old username makes me question the use of the terms update and upgrade.

This update will be an update to the core of our vbulletin, and there will be some easing into this product required. This is not the final phase of our upgrade, but only the first phase of several to completely update our site.

We will in the near future upgrade other elements of our site, including a completely new skin and look.

Underwater Photography is the only reason I ever peeked at SB, so not being able to use the Photo Gallery makes my current experience kind of like what I would imagine a new amputee experiences.

I would rather look into new ways to post pics in threads than go backwards to be updated.

Howard, any guess as to when SBmobile will make it's return? I'm not in a huge rush (i miss it though), but just wondering where it lies in the upgrade to-do list, or if it's just dead and awaiting burial.

This new format is super slow to load (except the header ad). I've always enjoyed visiting here but growing very impatient. Seems I'm not the only one having this problem. Win XP & Firefox.

Firefox has 4 versions. If you are on Windows XP and Firefox 2... your user experience will suck. I suggest you update your browser to one that is more current. Beyond that as I've said like 50 times... This is an interim step. With a site this large, we can't just do everything at once.

For what it's worth, with Windows 7 and Firefox 4 it is running great, and I have not had any of the issues being brought up.
